Human capital is perhaps more important than ever before. A crucial prerequisite for more jobs in growing businesses and for strong growth is the availability of skilled personnel ready to compete in a global economy. In many sectors, however, there is a skills gap, irrespective of the economic situation, and indications are that it is one of the main obstacles to growth.
Through the research program Skills for growth the Ratio Institute has for five years studied skills provision from a business perspective. The program aims to strengthen the link between research, education, innovation and business development potential and contribute to the knowledge triangle.
