Nils Karlson, born in 1958 in Stockholm, is the CEO and founder of the Ratio Institute, and an Associate Professor of Economics and Political Science at the University of Uppsala.
Nils Karlson has studied at Uppsala University, Universidad Mendez Pelayo, Sorbonne University, and George Mason University. He completed his doctorate studies at Uppsala University, where he wrote his thesis on the role of invisible hands in politics and civil society.
His has previously been President and CEO of the City University in Stockholm, worked as a political advisor in the Swedish Government, an editorial writer at Svenska Dagbladet, and a lecturer in economics and political science at Uppsala University.
He is a member of the Swedish Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences and the Mont Pelerin Society.
