Research

My research concerns the intersection between politics and markets within the modern welfare state, with a special focus on the conditions of enterprise and how political change is achieved. During the last couple of years, my research has been directed mainly towards wage formation, skills and skills matching, and labor market models in Sweden and internationally. Further areas of strong research interest include the EU, the constitutionality of states and constitutional law, and virtue ethics.

Methodologically, I work within institutional and constitutional economics, public choice, and political theory and philosophy.

I have directed a number of research projects and have published over 25 books and a large number of scientific journal articles and book chapters.
