Martin Korpi is an economic-historian and senior researcher at Ratio. He defended his dissertation in 2009 at the Stockholm School of Economics, and does research on internal migration, segregation developments as well as issues related to entrepreneurship and its connection to changes in income distribution. Currently, he is involved in two projects; one related to top income earners and income dynamics, and another that concerns the degree and regional variation of competition within different types of industries, and how this in turn affects firm productivity and wage setting
