Korpi & Stokes in Ratio dialogue: When the state should—and shouldn’t—intervene in the economy

News

Professor Ray Stokes was the keynote speaker of the 2022 Eli F. Heckscher lecture. During his lecture, “Business, Industrial, or Economic History? Finding Common Ground”, he discussed a new type of industry history, linking together economic history, business history and institutional economics.

In a Ratio dialogue, Dr Martin Korpi, researcher at The Ratio Institute, interviews Stokes. The conversation deals with Stokes view on the barrier between Economic History and Business History, his view on theory and when the state should and should not intervene in the economy.
