Daniel Halvarsson
Ph.D.
EmployeesDr. Daniel Halvarsson has devoted much of his previous research to questions concerning how firms grow and why industrial dynamics take the shape they do. He is also involved in several research projects, including studies on the financing behind firms’ innovations. Two areas he is currently focusing on are what happens to companies that receive public innovation support and which firms seek funding from venture capital funds.
In addition, he has a broad interest in various labor market issues. In one project, he examines how productive and unproductive entrepreneurship can be linked to labor income inequality. His research is largely empirically driven, but he also has a statistical interest in the estimation of stable statistical distributions.
